August 2. Community garden.

I've been pulling out weeds at an overgrown community garden the past week or so. It's hard work to pull weeds that are as tall as I am. But even when my back, arm, and leg muscles were too sore to move, I could draw in the garden.

I found a patch of lemon balm hidden among the weeds. At first, we thought the herbs were weeds to be pulled out. "But smell this plant," I said. "This is lemon balm. We can drink this."

We made some tea, stretched our muscles, admired our progress in the garden, and went back to work.
